Gérson Lopes is a Los Angeles-based Portrait Photographer and Composer.
Born and raised in Brazil, Gérson dedicated his life to the piano from a young age. In 2004, he moved to the US after receiving a full-tuition scholarship to complete his degree in Music, specializing in classical piano. During this time, Gérson discovered photography and began training with Sue Bryce online.
In 2016, Gérson joined the team at SBE as a full-time photographer and launched his own LA studio. In 2018, Gérson composed and released original licensed music for photographers and videographers to use in their marketing and personal projects.
In 2018, he became the first Accredited Associate Photographer by The Portrait Masters Awards & Accreditation and then achieved the level of Master Photographer in 2019.
Gérson specializes in Editorial Photoshoots, Personal Branding, and Contemporary Portraiture. Based in LA, Gerson travels the world teaching SBE Folio Builds, workshops, and photographing his clients.
